CROSS COUNTRY TEAMS COMPETE AT BARD COLLEGE INVITATIONAL IN ANNADALE-ON-HUDSON, NY

The Lehman College men's and women's cross country units returned to action on Saturday afternoon as the teams competed in the Bard College Invitational. The event took place on the campus of Bard College in Annadale-on-Hudson, New York.

 

On the women's side, SUNY New Paltz won the 5K invitational by having three of its runners finish in the top four. The host school, Bard College, finished in second place.

 

The top performance on the day for the Lehman women came from the consistent Dorothy Jean-Pierre, as she finished 35th overall and 28th in terms of runners eligible to score as she clocked in at a time of 23:23. Michaelle Garcon finished 45 amongst runners who scored, as she completed the course in a time of 24:41. Lehman's women's squad finished ninth out of 11 participating schools.

 

As for the men's competition, SUNY New Paltz won the 4.75K event by having three runners finish in the top seven. Cobleskill finished in second place.

 

Lehman's best performance on the day came from Oscar Kamalu as he finished 26th amongst runners eligible to score by clocking in at a time of 28:55. Lehman's men's finished 11th on the afternoon out of 16 schools that competed.

 

The Lehman College cross country units will return to action on Sunday, September 27th when the teams compete in the Brooklyn College Invitational at Van Cortlandt Park in the Bronx.
