Meet Results

KINGS POINT, N.Y. - The Lehman men's and women's swimming and diving teams dropped their dual meet to the United States Merchant Marine Academy on Tuesday night, but that didn't stop several Lightning athletes from putting forth outstanding individual efforts.

Freshman Abel Dupres, already once named CUNYAC Rookie of the Week this season, captured the 100-yard backstroke (57.64) and finished second in the 200-yard IM (2:06.35).  Dupres swam the breaststroke leg of the 200-yard medley relay, helping the team take second place (1:48.30) in the event.

On the women's side, sophomore Rosy Perez had a career day, recording four personal best times.  Perez swam the butterfly leg of the 200-yard medley relay, dropped five seconds in the 200-yard IM (3:12.68), finished the 100-yard butterfly in 1:39.99, and touched the wall in the 100-yard breaststroke in 1:36.25.

Overall for the meet the men were defeated 110-74 while the women lost 106-76.

Neither the men's nor women's team will return to the pool until after the new year when both welcome Brooklyn College to the APEX Aquatics Center for a dual meet on January 5.
