Head Coach Zack Davis



Zack Davis has served as the Head Coach of the Lehman College tennis teams for the past two seasons. In his time as Lightning skipper, Davis has put together some very competitive teams, and 2008 is shaping up to be a promising year due to his terrific complitation of talent.

Prior to coming to Lehman College, Davis coached at the City College of New York for seven years from 1993-2000. After that, he went on to serve as Skipper at St. Francis of NY before making his way to Lehman College. Davis' experience in the game of tennis is deep, making him one of the most polished coaches in the NY area. 

Davis was accepted into the first prominent junior tennis program when he was a kid. The program included a man named Arthur Ashe Jr. There, Davis met Nick Bolliteri and signed up to be a member of the Nick Bolliteri tennis program where he learned special skills that helped him improve his game.

Davis eventually graduated from North Carolina Central University with a Masters Degree in physical education. Following graduation, Davis made his way to New York to became a coach in the game he loved the most.

He was also once involved in the game of basketball where he started the Easter Invitational at the Forest Houses now called Easter Tournament Invitational. He was also a member of the Social Service Basketball League in the late 1970's.

Davis' extensive resume has also seen him do work for the NY Junior Tennis League, the First Board New York Parks Department, and Columbia University.
