Michal Bareket-Bloom

Bareket-Bloom completed her first season with the Lehman College women's tennis team this past fall as it finished with a 9-7 overall record.  The Lightning reached the semifinals of the 2019 CUNYAC Championships. 

Prior to coming to Lehman, Bareket-Bloom has been the Director of Administration and Assistant Coach at Gilad Bloom Tennis Enterprise Corporation, operating in New York City, since 2013.  The year-round program, which specializes in high performances and after school youths of all ages, was founded by Bareket-Bloom's husband, Gilad Bloom, who is a two-time Olympian and former Israel international tennis professional
.
A native of Israel, Bareket-Bloom is an active USTA (United States Tennis Association) player, competing leagues in women over 40, over 18 and mixed doubles.  In 2013, she has been ranked #1 women over 35 player in Israel and fourth ITF worldwide in mixed doubles over 35.  Also, in 2013, Bareket-Bloom claimed gold medal at women doubles over 35 during The Maccabi Games.  Two years earlier, she won Bronze Ball at USTA Nationals over 35 in 2011.  In 2014 Bareket-Bloom has earned a USTA national ranking of 7 at women's 30 singles.  Bareket-Bloom first international honors came in 1992 when she captured Central European Tennis Championship for High Schools, while also earning Player of the Year accolades.

Bareket-Bloom, who has a BA in Economics and Management from The Academic College of Tel-Aviv Jaffa in Israel in 2000.  She obtained Le Cordon Bleu Diplome de Patisserie in London in 2003, she later received an Executive MBA in Integrative Management from The Hebrew University in Jerusalem in 2012.
