Efthalitsides joined the Lightning family during the Covid 19 Pandemic as the Associate Director of Athletics/Compliance.
Prior to her appointment at Lehman in September 2020, Efthalitsides was the head women’s volleyball coach at Mercy College in Dobbs Ferry, NY. She has been on the Mavericks staff since January of 2016. In four short season at the Westchester Country she turned the program around making its first East Coast Conference Tournament in more than a decade. Prior to her appointment at Mercy she held the same position at the College of New Rochelle (2009-14) and began her collegiate coaching career with a one year stint as an assistant coach at Nyack. Efthalitsides experienced tremendous success while in New Rochelle, leading the Blue Angels to four conference championships, including two undefeated seasons in conference play in 2009 and 2014. For her successes, Efthalitsides was named twice Hudson Valley Athletics Conference Coach of the Year.
Efthalitsides also brings a strong administrative background to Lehman, having served as the Senior Women Administrator (SWA) and Coordinator of Intramurals and Recreation at The College of New Rochelle. In her role, Efthalitsides oversaw the Wellness Center and Athletics on campus, coordinated intramural programs and acted as the SAAC advisor. Efthalitsides also served as the softball coach and was responsible for many of the day-to-day operations of the athletic department.
Efthalitsides currently also serves as the head coach and club director of Alpha Gamma Juniors Volleyball Club in Sleepy Hollow where she oversees all the day-to-day operations of the program.
Efthalitsides will be responsible for Compliance, Title IX, sexual harassment, anti-hazing and sexual violence training for our staff. She will assist with the planning operation and leadership of Lehman’s 18 varsity sports, monitor our student athlete success, advise our SAAC program, prepare financial and other required monthly and yearly reports, represent Lehman at local, regional and national conventions as we all maintain accurate CUNYFirst academic files on all current and past student athletes and all data related to the athletics program.
Efthalitsides, a 2006 Mercy College graduate with a Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice and a 2013 Manhattanville College graduate with a Master's Degree in Physical Education & Sport Pedagogy
