The two teams traded baskets for their first two possessions, until sophomore forward
Amani Lightbourne (Elmsford, N.Y./Alexander Hamilton) hit a jumper to give Lehman the lead at 7-5. Those points were early in a 14-0 run, where reigning CUNYAC Rookie of the Week
Amely Del Rosario (Bronx, N.Y./John F. Kennedy) scored seven critical points.

Shalaya Nieves (Camden, Del./Caesar Rodney) controlled the game down on the blocks for Lehman in the first half, scoring 16 of her 20 points in the first half, making seven of her nine shots from the field. She added five rebounds and four steals in the first 20 minutes of action.
In the second half, Nieves focused her efforts on the defensive end, grabbing ten rebounds while blocking two shots.

Genesis Liberato (Santo Domingo, D.R./Liceo Ramon Matias Mella) scored the game's final points on a jumper with nine seconds remaining, for the 79-75 win.
