Student-Athlete Academic Support Services

The Lightning Academic Support & Educational Resources (LASER) program is committed to helping student-athletes thrive both academically and personally. Whether a student is looking to improve study habits, raise their GPA, navigate a challenging semester, or simply stay on track, LASER provides individualized support tailored to each student's unique goals and experiences. Through one-on-one meetings, students develop strategies in time management, organization, goal setting, study skills, and effective use of campus resources while building the confidence and self-advocacy needed for long-term success. Academic challenges are a normal part of the college experience, and no student has to navigate them alone. LASER is both a welcoming and supportive space where student-athletes are encouraged to ask questions, seek guidance, celebrate their successes, and develop the skills needed to succeed both inside and beyond the classroom.

  • Browse answers to common questions about academics, eligibility, registration, financial aid, course enrollment, campus resources, and student-athlete policies
