BRONX, N.Y. – The Lehman College men's tennis team dropped a heartbreaker to the visiting York College Cardinals on Wednesday night, by a 5-4 score.
The match was tight throughout, and the score was 4-4, with second singles remaining.
Lehman freshman
Gene Nakagaki (Scarsdale, N.Y./Eastchester) dropped the first game, 4-6, the rallied to take the second, 7-6, winning that tiebreaker 8-6. However, as darkness approached, Nakagaki dropped the third set, 6-1, and the Cardinals claimed the victory.
The tennis team returns to the court on Friday afternoon, April 19, hosting Rutgers-Nerwark in a non-conference match.
