Lightning Travel To Rowan

Gabe Lorenzo Talks with Coach Harrison about Rowan

Bronx, NY - The Lehman College women's basketball team hits the road again for a non-conference tilt at Rowan University.

The Lightning stand at 1-1 after defeating Ferrum (78-70) and dropping a road contest at Kean (92-79).  Pre-season CUNYAC Player of the Year Amely Del Rosario has been the catalyst for the Lightning after Lehman lost four starters from last season's CUNYAC championship team.  The Bronx native is averaging 34 points and seven rebounds per game.  Newcomers Lynda Fields, Krystal Pearson and Shakia Artist are all averaging double figures.

Rowan started the season on a three game winning streak that included wins over Delaware Valley (71-67), Wesley (65-50) and Neumann (85-63) before faltering at Stockton (72-68) in the NJAC opener.  The match-up with the Lightning represents the home opener for the Profs. Rowan is being led by senior Anyssa Sanchez.  The New Jersey native is averaging 17.8 points and 8.8 rebounds per contest.

Fans unable to make the trip to Glassboro, NJ can follow all of the action on-line.  The contest will be streamed and live stats are also available.
