Amely Del Rosario the Lightning came out on the short end of a 107-89 decision against Rowan University (4-1). Lehman falls to 1-2.

Krystal Pearson added 16, 13 and 12 points respectively. The Lightning shot at impressive 48% from the field (31-65) but were out-rebounded 50-34.
Artist scored the first basket of the afternoon but then the Profs went on a 20-6 run to take a 20-8 lead with 4:55 to play in the first quarter. Lehman trailed 32-19 at the end of the first quarter. The Profs were able to extend the lead to 16 (51-35) midway through the second quarter. The Lightning were able to rally, ending the quarter on a 12-3 surge that featured nine points by Del Rosario. Early in the third, the Lightning scored nine straight points to cut the deficit to three (59-56). However, the Profs answered with a 13-3 run of their own. Lehman again cut the deficit to eight early in the fourth but Rowan responded with a 19-3 run and cruised to victory.
April Szymczyk led six Rowan players in double figures with 15 points.
Lehman returns to action on Tuesday night. The Lightning will play host to CCNY in their home and CUNYAC opener at 7:00 pm. Before the game, Lehman will recognize last years' championship team.
