Bronx, NY – The US Merchant Marine Academy (1-0) came to the Apex Tennis Courts for their season opener and came away with a 9-0 victory.  Lehman's number one doubles team of Gene Nakagaki and newcomer Jason Strudwick put up a tough fight before falling 8-6.  Strudwick, a transfer student, also had a strong showing at number three singles falling in a tie-breaker. 

The Lightning are back in action on Thursday afternoon at Purchase.
