BRONX, NY --- The Lehman College men's tennis team lost 5-4 to the visiting John Jay College of Criminal Justice on Tuesday afternoon at the APEX Tennis Courts in the Bronx.
Freshman
Jason Strudwick, the current CUNYAC Rookie of the Week, continued his stellar play of late. Strudwick won 6-3, 6-3 at number one singles after teaming with sophomore
Carlo Francisco in a 8-4 victory at number one doubles. Senior
Gene Nakagaki took the win at number two singles, 6-1, 6-1.
The Lightning of Lehman are now 2-8 overall and 1-4 against conference opponents while the Bloodhounds of John Jay improve to 2-8 and 2-3 in the CUNYAC standings.
Lehman will look to bounce back on court on Wednesday when they host St. Joseph's College of Brooklyn at 4:00 p.m.
