Men's Tennis Gets Second Shutout of Year in 9-0 Win at Albertus Magnus

New Haven, Conn. - The Lehman College men's tennis team posted its second, 9-0 score of the season in a victory over Albertus Magnus in New Haven, Connecticut on Saturday.  The team blanked Purchase by the same score earlier in the year.

Lehman took all three doubles matches and dropped just one game.  The pairings of Jason Strudwick and Richard Willams at first doubles and Michael Forte and Won Sik Park at second doubles emerged victorious by 8-0 scores.  The combination of Ramsey Tapia and Brian Persuad triumphed by a 6-1 score.

The Lightning swept all the singles matches and dropped just one set in all.  Williams and Park won their matches love and love.  Strudwick prevailed love and one, while Persuad won 6-1, 6-0.  Forte at first singles won 6-1 and 6-1, while Tapia needed a third set to come out on top 4-6, 6-2, 10-4.

The team is now 2-2 on the season.  They return to action on Wednesday, March 28, when they face Hunter College on the road at 3:30 PM.
