Bronx, N.Y. - A beautiful spring day in the Bronx got just a little bit better for the Lehman College men's tennis team as they improved to 3-3 on the year with a 7-2 win over St. Joseph's College on Saturday at the Apex tennis courts.  The Lightning swept the doubles matches and prevailed in all but two of the singles flights.

In doubles play, Jason Strudwick and Rich Williams prevailed in first doubles, 8-2.  Michael Forte and Won Sik Park won their match, 8-2, while the pairing of Ioannis Vasos and Brian Persuad were triumphant, 8-5.

In singles play, Forte won love and love.  Strudwick dropped just one game in each set, en route to the 6-1, 6-1 victory.  Williams took the first set of his match before falling in three and Persuad did the same.  Vasos and Park prevailed by identical 6-1, 6-1 scores.

The Lehman College men's tennis team returns to action on Monday, April 2, when the face St. Joseph's College Brooklyn on the road.  The first serve is scheduled for 7PM.
