Women’s Basketball Falls To Wesley At Hyatt Place Tourney

Fredericksbug, Va. – The Lehman College women's basketball team fell by a score of 53-35 to Wesley College in the consolation game of the Hyatt Place Tipoff Tournament at William M. Anderson Center on Saturday.
 
The Lightning drop to an 0-2 record this season, while the Wolverines improve to a 1-2 mark.
 
Lehman only trailed by two going into the second period, however, Wesley went on a 30 to 19 run in the next two quarters to pull away for the victory.
 
Center Nina Gill led the Lightning with 12 points, seven rebounds and six blocks, while guard Shanya Gonzalez notched 11 points with five boards and three steals.
 
Lehman will continue its road swing next weekend when it travels to Middletown, Pa. to compete in another non-conference event Pride. Spirit. Honor Tournament, taking on the hosts Penn State Harrisburg on Saturday (November 23rd) at 4 pm.
