Bronx, N.Y. – Two Lehman College athletic teams will be in action on Wednesday as men's tennis side travels to take on College of Island (CSI) in a CUNYAC match-up at 3:30 pm, while the softball squad hosts College of Mount St. Vincent in a non-conference doubleheader starting at 4 pm.
The Lightning tennis team (1-8; 1-4 CUNYAC) are coming off a 7-2 conference victory over visiting York College-NY over the weekend.

Meanwhile, the Dolphins (7-1; 4-0 CUNYAC) of CSI defeated conference rival John Jay College on Tuesday, 7-2.
CSI leads the head-to-head series encounters against Lehman 27-6 since 1979 with the Dolphins winning 12 of the last 13 matches. The previous meeting between the two sides was on April 5, 2018, with CSI posting a 6-3 win at The APEX tennis courts.
The last time the Lightning topped the Dolphins was on Apr. 29, 2016, 5-2, at CUNYAC Tournament Quarterfinals at The APEX.
Also on Wednesday, Lehman softball team (8-12) look extend its winning streak as it takes on the Mount St. Vincent's Dolphins (12-19) at South Field. Fans unable to come to campus can follow all the action via online

The Lightning won their fourth consecutive game last Friday as they blanked the hosts York College-NY, 21-0 in the first game of CUNYAC doubleheader.
Outfielder
Stephany Cruz went 2-for-4 with three runs scored and five RBI, while
Diamond Villegas pitched a two-hit shutout with 13 strikeouts for her sixth victory of the season. The second encounter of the twin-bill was postponed due to rain and will be rescheduled.
Meanwhile, Mount St. Vincent is coming off Skyline Conference twin-bill split against hosts St. Joseph's College-LI on Tuesday. After winning the opener 5-2, the Dolphins lost the nightcap, 10-2.
Since 2008, Mount St. Vincent has won 11 straight games against Lehman. The last meeting between the two sides took place on Apr. 12, 2018, at South Field with the Dolphins winning both encounters by scores of 8-0 and 7-4.
