Brooklyn, N.Y. – For the first time since winter season, a Lehman College athletic team competed in the CUNYAC postseason tournament first round on Wednesday, as the men's tennis side fell 6-0 to hosts Brooklyn College at Roosevelt Tennis Courts.
The Lightning drop to 1-10 overall record, while the Bulldogs improve to 7-8 on the spring season.
Of the three doubles encounters to open the event, a highlight for Lehman was the duo of
Miguel Haboosh and
Michael Herrera won a game however fell 8-1.
After Bulldogs clinched the victory following singles encounters from Lightning's
Chris Mulholland, Haboosh and Herrera, the remaining three matches concluded with incomplete results in which
Ioannis Vasos was leading his match-up 6-4;
Anton Kyrylenko trailed 5-2 and
Arman Hossain fell behind 6-3, 3-0.
The Lightning will close out season at home on Saturday with a non-conference match-up against St. Joseph's College-NY at The APEX Tennis Courts at 2 pm.
