The Lehman College women's softball dropped a pair of games to cross borough rival the College of Mt. St. Vincent 10-0, 20-1.
Â
The Dolphins (3-3) plated four runs on two hits in the first inning against Lightning starter
Sky Mercado. Lehman answered with their first run of the season in the home half of the first.Â
Lizbeth Perez started the frame with a shot to left field and advanced to second on a error.Â
Doribel Duran laid down a perfect bunt to sacrifice Perez over to third. After a
Samantha Nazar walk Perez scored on a wild pitch.  And Nazar was left stranded. CMSV scored multiple runs in the next three innings for the margin of victory.
Jessica Perez came in the third to relieve Mercado and was able to strike out three batters.
In game two, the Dolphins jumped out to an early lead scoring one in the first and five more in the second. The lone Lightning hit came off the bat of Perez who cracked a double to left field in the first but was left stranded.Â
Samantha Nazar pitched the entire game for the Lightning striking out six.
Lehman will take the next couple of days to regroup before returning to action on Tuesday night as they host Yeshiva in a 7 PM doubleheader.Â
