Women’s Soccer Lose To USMMA

Kings Point, N.Y. – The Lehman College women's soccer team lost 8-0 to hosts U.S. Merchant Marine Academy (USMMA) in a non-conference game on Wednesday at Bartoszek Field.

The Lightning fall to an 0-2 overall record, while Mariners of USMMA improve to 3-0 mark.

Forward Morgan Mitchell led the offense for USMMA with four goals, while midfielder Emma Cox had two tallies.  Midfielders Natalie Colpoys and Jessica Garnsjager closed out the scoring with a goal apiece for the Mariners.

The Lehman highlight came from goalkeeper Josefina Flores posted six saves.

The Lightning return to South Field on Saturday (September 17th) when they welcome William Paterson University in a non-conference match-up at noon.
