Bronx, N.Y. – The Lehman College men's tennis team posted a 9-0 victory against visiting John Jay College in a CUNYAC match-up at The APEX Courts on Monday. The Lightning go to a 2-7 overall record and 2-3 in CUNYAC action, while the Bloodhounds drop to a 2-7 mark and 1-3 in conference play.
Also, on Monday the Lehman athletics department bid farewell to
Steven Forte who played his final regular season home encounter.
Forte posted victories in first singles for the Lightning, 6-2, 6-0, while he teamed up with
Christian Agudo for an 8-4 win in first doubles.
Agudo also triumphed in #2 singles action 1-6, 6-4, 10-4, while
Kenneth Davis and
Richie Magaribi were victorious in #3 (6-4, 3-6, 10-7) and #4 singles (6-0, 4-6, 10-5), respectively.
Jaden Youngs won his #5 singles match-up 6-1, 7-6, while
Chris Mata claimed victory in #6 singles, 6-4, 6-3.
Lehman concludes the regular season on Tuesday (April 18th) when it travels to take on Farmingdale State College in a non-conference encounter with first serve set for 4:30 pm ET.
