Bronx, N.Y. – The Lehman College softball team dropped both games of CUNYAC doubleheader to visiting Brooklyn College, 10-1, 6-3, on Tuesday at South Field. The Lightning go to a 4-12 overall record and 0-6 in CUNYAC action, while the Bulldogs improved to a 9-12 mark and 4-2 in conference play.
The highlight of Lehman in the opener was pitcher
Samantha Nazar as she went two-for-two with a homer on offense and had seven strikeouts on the mound.
In the nightcap, Nazar pitched another complete game while striking out 11 batters and she went two-for-three at bat for the Lightning. However, Brooklyn scored six unearned runs off five errors by the hosts for the victory. Outfielder
Lizbeth Perez also went three-for-four with a run scored and an RBI for Lehman.
The Lightning are back action on Wednesday (April 19th) when they welcome Purchase College in a non-conference twin-bill at South Field with first pitch set for 3:30 pm ET.
