Bronx, N.Y. – The Lehman College men's tennis team fell by a score of 7-2 in a non-conference encounter against visiting Purchase College at The APEX Tennis Courts on Monday. The Lightning drop to a 1-4 overall record, while the Panthers improved to a 5-3 mark.
The two Lehman victories came in third doubles and sixth singles as duo of
Jimmy Evans/
Ray Rodriguez and
Chris Mata won via forfeits.
The other Lightning highlight came in the first singles encounter as
Steven Forte lost a thriller, 5-7, 6-4, 5-10.
Lehman returns to action on Friday (April 7
th) when it hosts Baruch College in a CUNYAC match-up at The APEX Courts with first serve set for 2 pm ET.
