New York, N.Y. – The Lehman College softball team dropped both encounters of CUNYAC twin-bill against the hosts Hunter College, 12-0, 12-3, on Wednesday at Randall's Island's Field 28. The Lightning fell to a 4-6 overall ledger and 0-2 in CUNYAC action, while the Hawks go to a 7-11 mark and 2-0 in conference play.
Infielder
Kaycee Isley was the highlight of Lehman in the doubleheader opener having two of the five overall team hits. Other base hits for the Lightning came from infielders
Jesiuka Cabral,
Nicole Lopez and
Patria Sanchez.
In the nightcap, Lehman held a 3-3 stalemate with Hunter early on however the hosts scored nine runs to the pully away for the victory. Outfielder
Ileana Calle drove in two runs as she went one-for-two for the Lightning, while teammate
Samantha Nazar went two-for-three with a run scored and Cabral added an RBI as she went one-for-three from the plate.
Lehman is back in action on Monday (April 10th) when it travels to take on St. Joseph's University-Brooklyn in a non-conference twin-bill with first pitch set for 3 pm ET.
