Women’s Soccer Fall In Season Opener At Bard

Annandale-On-Hudson, N.Y. – The Lehman College women's soccer team officially opened its 2023 season on Wednesday evening with an 8-1 loss at Bard College, in a non-conference encounter, at Lorenzo Ferrari Soccer Complex.  The Lightning go to an 0-1 record, while the Raptors to a 2-1 mark.

After trailing 2-0 after 22 minutes of play, Lehman got on the board three minutes later with a tally from midfielder Melanie Siranaula off an assist from defender Jeyssi Bermudez to make it 2-1.  However, Bard notched six unanswered goals for the victory.

Another Lightning highlight was goalkeeper Ramatoulaye "Rama" Diallo who made 18 saves.

Lehman continues its road swing on Saturday (September 16th) when it travels to take on College at Old Westbury in a non-conference game with kickoff set for 2 pm ET.
