Box Score New York, N.Y. – Another 'double-double' (16 points, 13 rebounds) from forward Ramatoulaye "Rama" Diallo wasn't enough for the Lehman College women's basketball as it lost 85-56 to hosts John Jay College, in a CUNYAC encounter, on Saturday at The Doghouse. The Lightning go to a 4-11 overall record and 3-2 in CUNYAC action, while the Bloodhounds improved to a 9-6 mark and 3-1 in conference play.
After Lehman jumped out to a 5-4 lead early, John Jay went on an 18 to 6 run to take a 22-11 advantage at the end of the first quarter. The Bloodhounds then took the second period by outscoring the Lightning 24 to 6.
Lehman managed to level the scoring in the final two quarters (21-21; 18-18), however John Jay held on for the victory.
Center Myandra "Meme" Duquesnay notched 14 points and six boards for the Lightning, while forward
Mush Muniru added 11 points and six rebounds.
Lehman continues CUNYAC action next Wednesday (January 17th) when it welcomes Hunter College at The APEX Main Gym with tip-off set for 5 pm ET.
