Box Score Purchase, N.Y. – The Lehman College men's tennis team fell in a non-conference match, by a score of 5-2, to hosts Manhattanville University, at its respective tennis courts, on Wednesday. The Lightning go to an 0-2 overall mark, while the Valiants improved to a 1-2 record.
After losing two of the three doubles encounters, the highlight for Lehman was
Ian Lanter who won his #4-singles match against Manhattanville's John Curtin, 6-3, 7-6.
Also,
Jaden Youngs was victorious for the Lightning in #6-singles without swinging the tennis racket, via forfeit. Lanter and Youngs had previously won via forfeit in #3-doubles over the Valiants.
Lehman is back in action on Thursday (March 20th) when it hosts Sarah Lawrence College, in a non-conference match, at The APEX Tennis Courts with doubles action commencing at 4 pm ET.
