New York, N.Y. – The Lehman College women's soccer team fell by a score of 11-0 to host John Jay College in a CUNYAC encounter at Field #70 on Randall's Island on Saturday. The Lightning dropped to a 2-4 overall record and 0-1 in conference play, while the Bloodhounds improved to a 3-4-1 mark and 1-0 in CUNYAC action.
John Jay exploded on offense against Lehman, scoring seven times in the first 45 minutes and adding four more in the second stanza. Midfielder Natalie Mack and forward Ava Lopez each recorded a hat-trick with three goals apiece for the Bloodhounds, while defender Sofia Soler dished out seven assists along with a goal of her own.
The highlights for the Lightning were the performance of their goalkeepers.
Katelyn Rice (seven),
Leonor Ramirez-Vasquez (four), and
Kaylee Flores (six) as they combined for a total of 17 saves throughout the match.
Lehman will be back in action on Tuesday, October 6th, when they welcome Medgar Evers College to South Field for a CUNYAC match-up at 3:30 pm ET.
