The 411 on Lakeisha Gordon: Lakeisha is a speedster who is looking forward to sparking the Lightning offensively for the second consecutive season. Last year with the Lightning, Lakeisha started all 29 games for the Lightning, leading the team with 20 stolen bases while only being caught stealing twice. She also scored 16 runs, good for second-best on the team At Fashion Industries High School she was a multi-sport student-athlete, participating in both basketball and softball.
Coach Quirindongo’s comments on Lakeisha: “Lakiesha is an all-around exceptional athlete. She brings a degree of discipline that is contagious for the entire team. She spends a lot of time at Lehman. She works hard and she loves the environment at the college. She sparked us last season and was almost perfect in terms of stealing bases. I'm looking forward to watching her fly across the bases again in 2009."
