The 411 on Arleni Ulloa: Arleni returns to the Lightning for the 2009 season after seeing limited action in 2008. She graduated from Samuel Gompers High School where she lettered in softball for four seasons, winning the Most Athletic Player award every season. She'll be expected to occupy for the backstop as well as provide a spark with her offense.

Coach Quirindongo's Comments on Arleni: "Arleni is one of my few returning players. Last year she had a rough season, but she has worked hard to improve herself in the offseason, and if she stays focused and stays determined, I think she has a great chance to have a productive season."
