Samantha Dias

Dias was named Acting Head Coach for Lightning Women's Soccer Team in 2021 after spending four seasons as assistant.

Under her direction, Lehman posted a 7-7 overall record and advanced to the CUNYAC Championship Final for the first time since 2017 campaign.

The former Lehman standout Dias (’16) was a four-time CUNYAC First Team and two-time ECAC Second Team player during her career while compiling 40 goals (three game-winning) and 12 assists as the teams’ leader on defense.

As a team captain, she also provided solid leadership on the pitch. She earned CUNYAC Defensive Player of the Week one time last season.  Dias helped lead Lightning to multiple trips to the CUNYAC Championships and ECAC Metro Playoffs. 

During 2015 season, Dias and her teammates set a school record with 14 victories and a CUNYAC regular season title. In her sophomore year, her excellence led to being named the team’s most valuable player.

She has worked with super soccer stars since 2013 started coaching the youth in the city but now solely coach the youth all over Long Island and the Hamptons in school, group setting and private individual sessions. Also, has coached middle and high school girls lacrosse in Manhattan.

This past summer,she played with the New York Dutch Lions FC, a semi pro team playing in the wpsl.

Dias obtained a BS in Exercise Science from Lehman College and a BS/MS in Athletic Training from LIU-Brooklyn.  She also holds FMS 1 certification.
