Karina Jorge, began her tenure at Lehman in January of 2026 and brings more than two decades of experience in collegiate athletics administration, defined by her commitment to student-athlete success, compliance, and operational excellence. As Associate Director of Athletics at Lehman College, she plays a central leadership role in advancing the department’s mission while ensuring integrity across all areas of athletics.
Jorge oversees NCAA Division III compliance and eligibility, ensuring adherence to the standards of the NCAA Division III and the City University of New York Athletic Conference. Her responsibilities include managing academic eligibility certification, coordinating institutional reporting, leading comprehensive compliance education for coaches and staff, and interpreting NCAA legislation. She also contributes to the development and implementation of policies that promote accountability, equity, and competitive success.
A strategic and collaborative leader, Jorge is known for her steady presence and ability to guide programs through transition and growth. Her leadership supports effective day-to-day operations while fostering a culture centered on transparency, inclusion, and student-athlete development.
Since 2009 while at CCNY, Jorge served as a Senior Woman Administrator (SWA), advocating for gender equity and inclusive participation in athletics. In this role, she contributes to executive decision-making, strategic planning, and initiatives that elevate the representation and experience of women in sports.
A proud alumna of The City College of New York, Jorge earned a Bachelor of Arts in Management and Administration and a second degree in Electronic Design and Multimedia. As a former student-athlete on the women’s volleyball team, she brings a firsthand understanding of the student-athlete experience to her work.
Her impact extends beyond campus through service on NCAA, conference, and institutional committees, including regional advisory groups and compliance-focused initiatives. She is an alumna of the NCAA Division III Institute for Administrative Advancement and was selected for the prestigious NCAA Division III Senior Woman Administrator Program.
Deeply rooted in the Bronx community, Jorge extends her leadership beyond campus through active civic engagement and service. She supports local organizations such as Part of the Solution (POTS) and Friends of Mosholu Parkway, contributing to initiatives focused on food security, community wellness, and neighborhood development. She is also involved in cultural programming and community events. Most recently she was named to the Board of Directors of the National Dominican Day Parade, helping to celebrate identity, heritage, and access to opportunity. Her commitment to service reflects a broader mission to uplift the communities she serves while creating meaningful pathways for youth and families through sport, education, and engagement.
A native of the Dominican Republic, Jorge leads with resilience, community, and a deep sense of purpose. She resides in the Bronx, New York, with her two children and remains dedicated to advancing collegiate athletics through integrity, access, and opportunity.
