Lenn Marogolis was named the Acting Director of Sports Information and Intramurals in October of 2015.
Margolis will oversee media and public relations for the Lightning's 18 varsity sports, including maintenance of the department's website, LehmanAthletics.com.
Most recently Margolis served as the Sports Information Director of Cheyney University in suburban Philadelphia. He held that position for almost 16 years. During that span he redesigned the athletic website twice and began Cheyney's broadcasts on the internet.
A native of New York, Margolis got his start in the sports information field as a graduate assistant at Hofstra University where he earned an MBA. After two successful years, he moved on to Fellow CUNY institution Brooklyn College where he stayed for six years and produced Brooklyn's first ever radio broadcast of an athletic event.
In 1992, Margolis and the former Alena Tepper married and relocated to St. Louis, Missouri. While in the mid-west, Margolis worked for the Jewish Community Center. He was the Assistant Director of the Health Club and Sports Camp. He was also the in charge of the STAR Center (Sports, Training and Recreation). Their twin girls, Jordyn and Bari were born in St. Louis.
Margolis is an active member of both CoSIDA (College Sports Information Directors of America) and ECAC-SIDA. Margolis presented numerous times at ECAC-SIDA workshops. He has served on the local organizing committee for two ECAC-SIDA workshops as well as the CoSIDA workshop in 2005. Margolis was President of the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) SIDs from 2007-09. He was a member of the Division II Football RAC (Regional Advisory Committee); an NCAA Committee that ranks football teams in the region every week. He was Cheyney's first RAC appointment in more than a decade. Margolis also served five years as the University Representative on the ECAC-SIDA Board of Directors.
Margolis is a 1984 graduate of the University of Massachusetts where he lettered in soccer while pursuing a B.S. in Sports Management.
