Torres is in his seventh complete season as Sports Information Assistant at Lehman College as he assists with communications and statistics of its 18 athletic teams.
The New York City native brings to Lehman a wealth of experience in the field of communications & media relations, both national and international, spanning three decades
During the past summer offseason, Torres assisted the communication’s outreach for Spanish Language/International Media in leading up to relaunch of New York Cosmos as he handled the media operations for historic press conference announcement at Hinchliffe Stadium in Paterson, N.J. on July 10, 2025. The overall coverage also reached media outlets in at least five continents following the announcement.
In the spring of 2019, Torres was interim head coach for Lehman men's tennis team as the Lightning qualified to the CUNYAC Postseason.
Torres has also worked with organizations such as United States Soccer Federation, North American Soccer League, CONCACAF, CONMEBOL and FIFA.
Torres' career of athletic communications also includes SID Assistant with U.S. Merchant Marine Academy in Kings Point, N.Y. from 1998-99. He also assisted at SID offices of Hunter College ('98) and Long Island University-Brooklyn Campus ('95-97).
A graduate from LIU-Brooklyn with a degree in Journalism, Torres resides in New York City.
