Navarro Drops 29 Against Valley Forge Christian

SALISBURY, Md. – Playing in its second game in as many days, the Lehman College women's basketball team dropped a 75-55 decision today to Valley Forge (Pa.) Christian, in the Consolation Game of the Optimist Tournament, held at Salisbury University.

Freshman Jennifer Navarro (Jamaica, N.Y./Grover Cleveland scored the first 13 points of the game for the Lightning (1-6), en route to scoring a game-high 29. It is the third consecutive game, and the fourth time this season, that the guard has scored at least 20 points.

Sophomore Shalaya Nieves (Dover, Del./Caesar Rodney) was the only other player for Lehman to score in double figures, with 13. Junior Stephanie Miranda (Bronx, N.Y./Taft Educational Center) led Lehman with eight boards, to go with her six points.

Lehman has ten days off until its next game, when St. Joseph's of Brooklyn comes to the Bronx, on Dec. 11. The game will tip off at 7:00 p.m., and will be played at the College of Mt. St. Vincent.
