Generoso's Three Goals Lead Women's Soccer to Win Over Medgar Evers

BRONX, N.Y. – The Lehman College women's soccer team concluded the 2013 regular season with a 10-1 pounding of CUNY Athletic Conference rival Medgar Evers, on Wednesday night. Playing in 50 degree temperatures, the Lightning out-played the Cougars in every facet of the game.

Lehman (7-8, 2-4 CUNYAC) will not qualify for the upcoming CUNYAC Championships, finishing in fifth place in the Conference.

Eight different Lightning players scored. Leading the attack tonight was Juliana Generoso (New Rochelle, N.Y./New Rochelle), who had a team-high three goals.

Prior to tonight's game, Lehman held a brief ceremony, honoring the five student-athletes who played their last game for the Blue and Gold. The seniors are: Karla Cabrera (Guatemala City, Guatemala), Claudia Lucero (Yonkers, N.Y./Roosevelt), Kelly Marin (White Plains, N.Y./Valhalla), Janet Perez (Bronx, N.Y./In-Tech), and Andrea Vazquez (Bronx, N.Y./Bronx Center for Science and Math).
