ARLINGTON, Va. – The Lehman College women's basketball team lost the 2014-15 season opener today, falling to Delaware Valley, 67-35, in the first round of the Pablo Coto Tip-Off Tournament at Marymount University. It was the season-opener for both programs.

Lehman will now face Albright (Penn.) College in the Consolation Game on Sunday at 3:00 p.m.

Lehman trailed by as many as 14 points in the first half, shooting just 32% from the field. In the second half, Lehman's shooting woes got worse, making just 14.3% of all shots.

For the game, junior Jennifer Navarro (Jamaica, N.Y./Grover Cleveland) led the offense with 11 points. Junior Karrin Walker (New York, N.Y./Richard R. Green) added seven points, while classmate Amani Lightbourne (Elmsford, N.Y./Alexander) added six points and a team-high seven rebounds.
