BRONX, N.Y. – Tonight marks the home opener for the Lehman College women's volleyball team, as the Lightning take on William Paterson, beginning at 6:00 p.m. This will be the first of nine matches played in the APEX Main Gym this season.

These two teams met last season, out in Wayne, N.J., with the Pioneers edging out the Lightning, 3-2.

Last night, the Lightning split a pair of matches at the Devils Tri-Match. Lehman fell to host FDU-Florham, 3-0, before rebounding to defeat Purchase College, 3-1.

Senior middle blocker Cari English (Yonkers, N.Y./Cardinal Spellman) is off to a great start as she was named to the All-Tournament team at the Oneonta Invitational last weekend. The CUNY Athletic Conference also honored her, tabbing her its Pepsi Player of the Week. She has recorded 2.00 kills per set, 14 total block solos, and has a hitting percentage of .299.
