Box Score

Bronx, N.Y. - Despite outshooting the College of Mount St. Vincent (3-10) 13-9, the Lightning came out on the short end of a 3-0 decision in a non-conference tilt.

The loss snaps a six game win streak and it was the first time all season that Lehman (10-2) was shut out.

The Dolphins first tally came in the closing minutes of the first half.  Julia McGowan unloaded a rocket from inside the penalty box to the far corner.  Five minutes into the second half the Dolphins doubled their lead when Alicia Forgione received a through ball, right between the Lehman defenders, from Laruen Tate.  Just under two minutes later McGowen once again found the back of the net off a feed from Kelly Gibison to round out the scoring.  The victory snaps a four game skid.

The College of Mount St. Vincent keeper Laura Schools was credited with the win, her first of the season.  She registered nine saves on the night.  Lehman keeper Stephanie Gonzalez recorded two saves.

Lehman steps back into league play on Saturday afternoon on the South Field.  The Lightning will host CUNYAC rival CCNY at 1:30 P.M. in a pivotal league match up.  Should the Lightning prevail they will clinch the regular season CUNYAC title and the top seed in the post-season tournament.
