Box Score NEWARK, N.J. – The Lehman College women's volleyball team dropped its 2015 regular season finale to Rutgers-Newark in straight sets, out in New Jersey, on Thursday evening. Set scores were 25-15, 25-17, and 25-18. Lehman finishes the regular season with a 12-14 overall record.
The Lightning were led by senior outside hitter
Jo-Marie Aquino (Bronx, N.Y./Cardinal Spellman) who produced a double-double with 11 kills and 10 digs. Senior setter
Imani Dubois (West Palm Beach, Fla./J.P. Taravella) produced 21 assists and two service aces.
Sophomore libero
Lizette Medina (Bronx, N.Y./Cardinal Spellman) led the way on defense with 13 digs, while sophomore opposite hitter
Lindsay Pantaleon (New York, N.Y./George Washington) added 10 digs of her own.
Aquino, junior opposite hitter
Salveira Gonzalez (Bronx, N.Y./Riverdale-Kingsbridge Academy), and sophomore defensive specialist
Chaochi Lee (Elmhurst, N.Y./Flushing) each produced a block.
Lehman has earned the #3 seed in the upcoming CUNY Athletic Conference Championships and will host #6 CSI in the CUNYAC Quarterfinals on Tuesday, at 6:00 p.m., in the APEX Main Gym.
