Cagers Back on the Hardwood Tonight

Both Lehman College basketball teams are back in action tonight. The women travel to Long Island to face St. Joseph's at 6:00 PM while the men will make the short trip into Manhattan to battle the Maccabees in an 8:00 PM tip.

WOMEN

The Lightning are winners of four of their last five and come into tonight with a record of 5-4. Amely Del Rosario, Jennifer Navarro and Amani Lightbourne continue to lead Lehman. The trio account for 68% of Lehman's offensive production. All three are ranked in the top ten in the conference in scoring with Del Rosario's 21.6 points per contest leading the way.

The Golden Eagles enter tonight's contest with a mark of 3-6. In their most recent outing, they fell to CCNY 55-44 on Monday night. Andrea Iavarone, the only St. Joe's player averaging in double figures, is netting 18.7 points per contest.

MEN

The Lightning are riding a six game win streak and sit alone atop the CUNYAC standings with an overall mark of 7-2 and 4-0 in conference play. Lehman is being led by Chaun Miller and Olando Minott. Miller, the CUNYAC reigning Player of the Week is averaging 16.8 points and 6.7 rebounds per game. Minott is chipping in 15.9 points and six rebounds per contest.

The Maccabees come into tonight's contest with a record of 6-4, winners of their last four out of five. In their last outing Yeshiva fell to St. Joseph's – Brooklyn 85-68. Shelby Rosenberg, Shaje Weiss and Michael Berg are all averaging double figures.

After tonight, both Lehman teams will take an extended break for the holidays. The Lightning will return to action on December 29-30 at the APEX.
