Box Score 2 BRONX, N.Y. – The Lehman College women's volleyball team earned a pair of victories during the home opener on Wednesday evening. In the first match, the Lightning defeated Cedar Crest in straights sets and then defeated Purchase, 3-1.
In the match against Cedar Crest, set scored were 25-20, 25-21, and 25-14. Senior outside hitter
Jo-Marie Aquino (Bronx, N.Y./Cardinal Spellman) led the way with a match-high 17 kills and added five digs. Sophomore
Lindsay Pantaleon (New York, N.Y./George Washington) scored five service aces and produced a match-high 12 digs. Senior setter
Imani Dubois (West Palm Beach, Fla./J.P. Taravella) recorded 24 assists and four service aces, while junior opposite hitter
Salveira Gonzalez (Bronx, N.Y./Riverdale-Kingsbridge Academy) added two aces and four digs.
In the match against Purchase, set scores were 25-11, 21-25, 25-13, and 25-21. Gonzalez led the way with 13 kills, while Dubois produced nine kills, seven aces, seven digs and 22 assists. Pantaleon led the way on defense with 10 digs. Sophomore defensive specialist
Chaochi Lee (Elmurst, N.Y./Flushing) added two kills.
The Lightning will travel to the campus of CCNY, for the CUNY Athletic Conference multi-match on Saturday. The Lightning will battle host CCNY at 3:00 p.m., then take on Baruch at 5:00 p.m.
