Bronx, N.Y. – The Lehman College women's volleyball team begins the home stretch of the 2016 season as they seek to snap a losing streak on the road, when they face off against The College of Old Westbury. First serve at the Clark Athletic Center is set for 6:00 p.m. Monday night in Long Island.
The Lightning (4-17) are coming off two nonconference losses at home last week against the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy and the College of New Rochelle. They are led on the court by
Salveira Gonzalez, who tops the team with 167 total kills which ranks in the CUNYAC top-10.
Lindsay Pantaleon is second on the team with 92 kills, and also leads the squad with 51 service aces (fourth in CUNYAC), while primary setter
Samantha Delgado has dished out 318 assists on the season.
They will be taking on a Panthers team (2-14) who have had struggles as well, but are coming off a straight-set win over CUNYAC opponent Medgar Evers Saturday afternoon.
Lehman will continue their final part of their season with their final home game Tuesday October 25, when they host CUNYAC Medgar Evers College as part of Senior Night. Live stats and streaming video will be available on the Lehman Athletics website.
