Brooklyn, NY – Mylo Mitchell came off the bench to spark to the Lightning offense with six three pointers in leading Lehman to a 97-83 victory.  With the win the Lightning move to 4-3:2-1 while the Bulldogs fall to 2-5:0-2.

For the first time this season six players tallied double figures for the Lightning.  Beisdes Mitchell's 26 points, Damian Bellamy scored 14, Astrit Krisniqi chipped in 12 and Andrew Utate, Ed Pasquale and Vince Young added 10 points apiece.

With the game tied at 11, the Lightning went on a 10-1 run to take control.  Six different players scored during the spurt.  The Lightning were able to stretch the lead to 16 before settling on a 13 advantage, 49-36 at intermission.  The Lightning were red hot shooting the ball.  In the first half Lehman drained 21-33 attempts from the field and 5-9 from behind the arc.  Their shooting only slightly cooled off the second half as the Lightning were 16-30 from the field and 4-8 from three.  In the second half, the Bulldogs were able to get the lead down to seven on several occasions but the Lehman sharper shooters always had the answer.

"I'm very proud of the team and the way they battled for 40 minutes," commented Coach Schulman. "Every time Brooklyn made a run we made a run of our own and that's a sign of a good competitive team. We moved the ball well and anytime the ball doesn't stick, and you have guys like Utate, Pasqual, Brens and Mitchell who can make threes you get open shots."

It was the first time that the Lightning won at Brooklyn in five years.

Enees Nikovic recorded a double double scoring 19 points while grabbing 10 rebounds.

The Lightning return back to the APEX on Friday night as they host the College of Staten Island at 7:00 pm.
