The Lehman men's basketball team will host St. Joseph's (LI) tonight at 7:00 pm in the APEX while the women's squad travels to Amherst, MA to battle the #2 ranked Lord Jeffs at 6:00 pm.

The Lehman men are coming off a conference victory over Brooklyn in which reserve guard Vince Young scored a career high 21 to lead a comeback.  Andrew Utate scored 22 points while Mylo Mitchell and Jean Marcial added 19 and 10 points respectively.  Lehman has now won three of their last four and are in the midst of a seven game home stand.

The Eagles are 5-11 but have won their last two and four of their last six.  In their most recent outing they defeated Maritime 72-51.  Senior Fernando Vazquez tallied points and became the newest member of the Golden Eagles 1000 point club.

The Lehman (10-7) women rallied to defeat rival Brooklyn 64-58 to pull within one game of first place in the CUNYAC standings.  The Lightning are riding a seven game winning streak and have not lost in 2017.  Marika Gordon paced the Lightning in their latest victory with 18 points and 11 rebounds.  It was her third double double in eight games.  Amely Del Rosario's 24.3 points per night still leads the Lightning attack.  She's tallied double figures in every game this season except one.

Nationally ranked 2nd in the country, Amherst is sporting a 17-0 record.  The Lord Jeffs defeated Colby this past weekend 69-43. Amherst's average margin of victory is more than 30 points.  Ali Dosell is the only player on the squad averaging double figures.  The 5-10 senior guard from Richmond, VA is averaging just under 14 points per night.
