New York – The Lehman College women's soccer team dropped a CUNYAC match to John Jay, 1-0, in a game played on Randall's Island in New York on Wednesday. The team is now 7-7-1 overall and 3-2 in conference play.
The game's only marker came from the Bloodhounds in the 43 minute courtesy of a shot off a long pass into the box. Lehman outshot John Jay 13-4 and had nine shots on goal.
Daisy Gomez led the team with four shots, while Pamela Sanchez had three.
Rebecca Gritz made a pair of saves in goal.
Despite the loss, the Lightning are 4-1 in their last five contests. They return to the field on Saturday, October 21, when they host Brooklyn College at noon in a game with playoff ramifications.
