The Lehman College women's basketball team will host Ramapo College at 6:00 PM tonight in a non-conference women's basketball game later today.
The Lightning stand at 5-3 having won four of their last five.
Lynda Fields leads the Lightning in scoring averaging 14.6 points per game as well as a team high 33 assists.
Ayanna Behagen is chipping in 13.3 points and a team leading 6.1 rebounds per game. Newcomers
Lillybeth Garcia and
Aliyah Dorsett are adding 10.9 and 10.0 points per contest respectively. In their last outing the Lightning were upended by the Bulldogs of Brooklyn College 69-55.
The Roadrunners come into tonight's contest with a mark of 3-6. Most recently they came out on the short end of a 65-58 decision against Kean College despite a career high 31 points by Jenna Harsh. The sophomore from Metuchen, NJ is the only Roadrunner averaging double figures.
Both teams will take a break after tonight's contest to study for finals and enjoy the holidays. The Lightning will return to action on Thursday, December 28 when they host the 11
th Annual Coaches vs Cancer Tournament. The two day affair will feature Lehman, the College of Mount St. Vincent, FDU Florham and SUNY Canton. The Roadrunners will be participating in the Westfield State Holiday Tournament on December 30-31.
