Bronx, N.Y.  – The Lehman College women's soccer team posted a 1-0 victory over visiting Fairleigh Dickinson University-Florham Campus in a non-conference encounter on Monday evening at South Field.  The Lightning improve to 5-2-1 overall ledger, while the Devils drop to 7-3-1 record this season.

Despite being outshot 20-8 (6-4 on goal), it was Lehman that got the game-winning tally as senior Daisy Gomez scored her fifth goal of the season, off a free kick by sophomore Melanie Siranaula that beat FDU's goalkeeper Ashley Paulino.

Lightning sophomore goalkeeper Rebecca Gritz made six clutch saves against the Devils to earn her fourth shutout of the season.

The Lehman victory also extended its unbeaten streak at home to nine regular season games.

The Lightning return to South Field this coming Sunday at 10 am when they greet College at Old Westbury.
