Bronx, N.Y. – The Lehman College women's soccer team dropped a heartbreaking 2-1 overtime encounter to visiting CUNYAC rival John Jay College on Saturday at South Field. The Lightning fall to 7-5-1, 3-2 CUNYAC, while the Bloodhounds improve to 10-4-1 overall and 5-1 in conference play.
Saturday's encounter also bid farewell to five seniors – midfielders

Tawanda Kerr whom all played their final regular season game at home with a Lightning's uniform.
John Jay took the lead in the 34
th minute with a tally from forward Gianna Russo off a cross inside the penalty box from midfielder Katie Healy.
Lehman battled back in the second stanza and got the equalizer from midfielder
Melanie Siranaula who scored off a 25 yard free kick that beat John Jay goalkeeper Brittany Shaneberger.
The match went into sudden death overtime and the Bloodhounds got the game-winner off a 40 yard free kick scored by defender Anneliese Tucci, which just got past Lightning 'keeper

Lehman, which already secured a postseason berth, concludes the 2018 regular season with its final CUNYAC match-up against CCNY on Wednesday at South Field. The result of Wednesday's game will determine if the Lightning are seeded #3 or #4 for the upcoming CUNYAC Women's Championship.
