Dartmouth, Mass. – The Lehman College men's basketball team lost its opening game of 21
st Annual UMass Dartmouth Lafrance Hospitality Tournament, 91-82, to Mitchell College on Friday evening at the Tripp Athletic Center. The Lightning drop to 0-2 record on the season, while Mariners go to 1-0.
After a back-and-forth first half with several lead changes, Lehman trailed by only two points at the intermission.
The Mariners took charge in the second stanza and led by as many as 12 points. The Lightning rebounded and cut the advantage to two points (82-80) with 3:23 remaining. However, Mitchell went on an 11 to 2 run to pull away and earn its first victory of the season.

Miguel Haboosh led Lehman's offense with 24 points, nine rebounds and four assists while playing every minute of the game. Forward
Isaiah Geathers scored 12 points and grabbed 10 boards, while guard
Tommy Batista also added 12 points for the Lightning.
Lehman will look for its first win of the season as it closes out tournament play against Clark University in the consolation game on Saturday afternoon.
