Bronx, N.Y. – The Lehman College women's basketball team will commence it 2018-19 season on Friday when it travels to take on Ramapo College in a non-conference affair at Bradley Center in Mahwah, N.J. with a tip off set for 5:30 pm.
The Lightning will be under the direction of head coach
Eric Harrison who will be in his 21
st season. Last season, Lehman finished third in CUNYAC with an 11-5 mark and 16-11 overall ledger. The Lightning reached the semifinals of CUNYAC tournament last season losing to CSI.
Lehman is led this season by senior guard
Lisa Fields, who averaged nine points per game and ranked second on the team in steals.
Friday's encounter is the second consecutive year Lehman-Ramapo face off. The previous match-up took place on December 12, 2017, at The APEX Main Gym, with the Roadrunners posting a 78-75 victory. Fields had 14 points with three rebounds and four steals for the Lightning in the loss.
